Dear Human Resources;

Please do not be intimidated by my resume.  Seriously, it looks big, it looks bad… but really, I am just a goofy marketing girl looking for a new company to call home in the greater Boston area.  I have extensive experience in running successful marketing departments with provable ROI for large-scale technology products, Fortune 500 products and services and celebrity brands. My experience in technology, consumer product and entertainment marketing spans 10 years and, if I do say so myself, I’m fun to work with and for.

I could dazzle you with buzz words like “social equity,” “linkbait,” and “conversion analytics” or I could toss out clients I have worked with like Ford, Coca-Cola and Warner Lambert or I could leave you star struck by saying Fergie is on my speed dial, Seth Godin calls me and I currently work with EMI Music and Universal Records, but it’s all in my resume. Also, I may or may not have a degree from Harvard and have written books on blogging and Twitter (hint: I do and I have.). What I really want you to know is, I love marketing and I am good at it. I think about more creative and cost effective ways to market the artists and products I work with while I’m on the treadmill. I worry about provable fan base, customer satisfaction, retention, re-marketing campaigns and even partnership synergies while making dinner reservations (I don’t cook – stoves are my Kryptonite). I dream about the perfectly optimized landing page, viral leveraging, conversion ratios and split testing while I sleep. I even keep a blog on new media marketing and how it affects the music industry at www.sacriliciousmarketing.com. Yes, some might call it obsessed, but it’s my passion and I want to bring this passion to a brand and product that can really and truly benefit from a creative thinker and results driven marketer. But seriously, I am a find in the marketing world, not only can I direct a department, I do all my own stunts, meaning I can code a website, implement a social marketing campaign, analyze metrics and quickly split test and optimize campaigns for effectiveness. I’m basically a superhero and I KNOW how to communicate effectively. (You’re still reading, right?)

If all that was not self promotional enough for you, Google me: I am a frequent guest on the SEO/Social Media conference circuit. I invite you to reference my LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter profiles along with visiting my Facebook fan page and website for work product, knowledge base and preliminary references and testimonials to my work product.

OK, now that you know I’m AWESOME, if you’re AWESOME, call me, we should interview. Oh yeah, if you don’t have a sense of humor, this was all tongue in cheek. I’m easy to get along with and play a professional adult 99% of the time.

Thank-you,

Mary McKnight (a little more about me can be found here)
